Food distribution at TAFFED

How It Works

WHAT WE DO

Numerous studies have shown that nutritional status directly affects the mental capacity among school-aged children. A child’s learning ability is intrinsically linked to their nutritional status.

At TAFFED, we have set out to create sustainable programs that work towards ensuring every child has access to nutritious food in their schools, enabling them to maximize their educational potential and allowing them to use education as a tool to rise out of poverty.

Our core program focuses on getting nutritious breakfast meals to students through a strong partnership between TAFFED, the various School Committees, the Parents and all our Volunteers & Donors.

Our program currently provides over 30,000 meals a month to children in Public Schools in the Kigamboni District of Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, with a target to provide 100,000 meals a month by the year 2025.
